Great mod, thanks. Can anyone give me a clue as to how I get the guided missiles on the littlebird (the one with the hellfire) to lock on? I press t, my pilot calls the order for gunner to target but he doesn't fire. If I go manual fire I press t & get the square box but no tone or diamond box? Any help appreciated.- 16577 replies

Game crashes: Memory and Graphics
rob1 replied to SkillerPenguin's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
I have win 8.1 too & upon joining a server it would start to load then crash straight to desktop with no error message or with The instruction at 0xblahblah referenced memory at 0xblahblah. The memory could not be written. I tried the usual: verifying cache, reinstall, different arma profile etc etc. I deleted mpmissioncache found in: C:\Users\"insert win account name"\AppData\Local\Arma 3\MPMissionsCache (appdata is hidden, file explorer>view>show hidden files>checkbox) & this time it would load up normally then 30secs to 20min same memory could not be written error. I then created a new windows account & launched the game from there, it worked!!. The next day I switched back to my usual win account & loaded the game without issue, so far so good no crashes since. I don't know if this will help but worth a shot.- 38 replies

I have an AMD A10-6800k oc'd to 4.7Ghz, r7 260x 2gb, 8gb RAM & have similar (sometimes worse) fps on a3 but people I play with that have intel cpus claim they get 45-60 :( I came to the conclusion that arma doesnt like AMD cpus, so is that a false assumption?

huh?!?? There are 3 dlcs (reasonably priced dlcs i might add) which are nothing to do with nexus as far as I know, the core mechanics released with the dlcs are available to everyone for free (weapon resting, advanced flight model etc.). I really don't understand where your coming from, unless I'm missing your point?

Well done Bi, well done. I've fallen in love with Vanilla all over again.
rob1 replied to rekkless's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I often play vanilla before & after (ok not so much after) the nexus update. Your quite right Arma 3 is a very cool game, so hats off to all those at BI for many many hours of fun BUT I still dislike the sway lol (a bit excessive when moving from cover to cover to shoot (no fun waiting a few minutes to recover from a 50m jog) but I could live with it if toned down a bit. Absolutely hate sway when weapon is rested/deployed). Even when I take into account the above Arma is still my go to game :) Big TY BI :D -

Have you guys also noticed that when you've done everything in setting up the shot (regain stamina, wait for sway to calm, rested weapon, hold breath) & the damn thing fights against you putting it on target. So damn stupid  This was vanilla on sp campaign using the mk18 ABR 7.62 crouched.
-
OK so I wait until my guy calms down after moving into position, hit c to rest weapon, hold breath & the cross hairs seem to fight against me not wanting to go on target!! ffs ridiculous, no mods running. Anyone else noticed this "awesome new feature"

Thanks but I wouldn't have a clue as far as changing the scripting/mod myself & your Roads looks good :) but no Zeds :( I guess I'll have to wait for Haleks to support Flay Archery or for you to add zeds to Road (do you think either of these things will happen?). Thank you very much for your help, I will try Incognito :) Great work guys :D

Hi Haleks, I'm not too used to using mods so wondering if you could tell whether this lot will play nicely & fit well with your mod (looks great!, even though I've only played five mins & I found 2 assault rifles with no ammo, so got wasted rather quickly lol, this was vanilla (your mod+cba)). I apologise if this has been covered already. Mods I plan to use with Ravage: CBA_A3, Mocap, Enhanced Movement, TRYK's uniforms, RHS: US forces, RHS: forces of the russian federation. I was also hoping to use some sort of archery mod, does anyone know of a good one? I've found Flay's Archery festish mod, looks good. Thanks in advance for any help :)

I was pointed in the direction of this mod for SP, I haven't tested it but its supposed to restore 1.52 sway: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=26266

There are comments on the mod saying it doesn't work, but I suspect they are trying to use it in MP. Does this fix weapons sway too? If not I was pointed to this mod: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=26266 (single player only)

I'm gob smacked at your brown nose attitude. The stamina system blows plain to see. Your right in that people can vote with their feet but mods will negate this. Your telling me a trained soldier wouldn't be able to run a few feet & take aim effectively? BS of course they would. Most are happy to go with what BI has created with arma (I love the game & haven't played anything else in quite a while) but this just seems stupid. This level of realism ruins the game, I would imagine that 99% of players (me included) want to stick to the realism vibe thats what makes the title stand out among all the other tired shooters but what next?! waiting for a virtual UN security council to vote on whether we should be allowed to start a mission? or how about random drug tests for players to ensure they are capable of operating firearms? Cmon realism yes but also needs to be enjoyable.
