  1. Had the same experience :( What you can try is the Open Broadcast Software and record the desktop while arma is in windowed borderless mode. Or of course use Nvidia Shadowplay if you can. Regards
  2. Hey man - If youre DOF is acting weird then I fear it is because of your customized cfg. Although the effect also blurs the HUD unfortunately - but I believe you changed the default settings.
  3. That depends on which Edition of Real Light you use. But I am really sure that you won´t get a performance boost or anything by deleting the effects out of there. It is more like an Index of all the effects available. I use not much of them and only those I use get loaded and make impact.

  6. Yep I did. No need to change for you who already got ReShade with Real Light running. Besides to good old saying "never change a running system" there is really no need and benefit to upgrade for you guys. Cheers

  9. Steam takes the shot of the game before the ReShade Layer applies. You have to use PrintScreen Key. Your shots will be where your Arma3.exe is then as PNG File. This is the ReShade Screenshot feature and the look will be applied to those shots then. For OBS I recommend to play Arma in Fullscreen Borderless Window and record the Monitor with OBS.   10. It seems better in the video above. In your first one you can see the grass and sometimes tree areas just really block together in little motion moments. The new video has less of that. It´s good quality overall no question.   11. Jeah - rich.png is really rich. I use rich-.png myself. Since there are so many different display calibrations out there I hope I can cover most them up with these three versions. Whats too much contrast for one person (and display) can be too less for the other one and so on...
  12. LUTs (Lookup Tables) are in this case color palettes which are used to recolor the game. The Unreal Engine uses this technology. It is daily business in Movie Editing and Photography as well. Jeah you can change them while even being ingame. No restart required. Sometimes - but that is really rare - you get an error although you typed everything correct. ONLY then you need to restart. If it doesn´t apply the new scheme after tabbing back into the running game - try to fill in some blanks or tabs in an empty line of the CustomFX.cfg and save it again. If the file size changes by that ReShade will reload itself for sure then.

  14. Oh and I just saw that you wrote "Reshade by Solano" on your video description. ReShade is by a few other guys named: crosire (ReShade developer), Lucifer Hawk (GemFX developer), CeeJay.dk (SweetFX developer), Marty McFly (MasterEffect/McFX developer), Ioxa and JPulowski. I made a preset for it called Real Light Don´t get me wrong - I am no stuffy old man but there was some dialogue with the ReShade guys in the past about crediting and I just want to keep clear who gets it and what for.   15. Thanks for the reference cosmic. This is exactly what I get with my videos. Clear images with less to no movement. But moving just creats giant blocks. I don´t know what this black magic of shadowplay has for settings but it seems that my example vid of evil organ had some different settings inside Shadowplay I would guess. It is really stupid that movement looks so crappy - for me there is no benefit of making videos with LUTs for you guys if the look and feel WHILE moving isn´t there in my vids - it is more efficient to me to stick to images then unfortunately. I really would love to make videos with all LUTs to make it even easier to choose for you guys but jeah... Thanks again cosmic. Don´t get me wrong - your video is absolutely enjoyable - for me I would just like to have perfection. Especially after I saw the absolutely flawless quality of Evil Organs demo video. His video looks like my raw footage played locally on my pc. MAYBE Youtube is enhancing your video while I rant here tho. We maybe just see kind of a preview already while in the background it gets processed - idk
  16. Here you go. You can always increase the max bitrate over 15.000. More than 20.000 is not very different anymore in quality but in file size. Hope you can profit from this. Cheers EDIT Oh and "qp=21" in the command line is important. The lower the better the quality. 16 is insanely good and (big as well).
  17. I mean it is the same codec. Why does this happen... Anyway - I can give you my settings for OBS if you are interested. Took me a day to find these and you can save the time (and everyone else who´s interested).
  18. Thank you! I tried many - but most of them didn´t cooperate with ReShade and made arma crashing. So now I use Open Broadcaster Software and record my Screen while Arma is fullscreen borderless window. That works. And the quality is insanely good. But after Youtube got it - it looks really crappy. Here is a test of my recording. I uploaded it uncompressed (6 gig). It is just blurry BS when moving. I use h.264 as well as Shadowplay. I really don´t know what the f is the problem. Evil Organ has a much clearer picture in this one. He just used Shadowplay and uploaded it right away to Youtube. I mean seriously - what youtube gives me is not even close to that. ALTHOUGH i got the same quality when I watch the footage local on my PC. But youtube distorts it. Really annoys the hell out of me. </rant>

  21. I present to you my new LUT Rich! It comes in 3 increments for effect strength to fit your personal taste. I recommend to give it a try live ingame to get the look and feel here as well. Would love to make some ingame footage with it to give it a better preview but my video recordings get smashed by the youtube encoder. I got no Shadowplay feature with my GTX580 which seems to be the best tool to capture flawless ingame footage for youtube. Enjoy

    Reminds me of State of Decay. You find and help survivors. They join your group and bring their skills in. Save a Doc - you can build a medical building. Save a Hunter and you got a nice income of loot etc etc etc... In the meantime you fetch some radio calls from some more survivors begging for help. You trade with other groups out there. In this game you have to move (with your group) when your surrounding is finally looted. Nothing really respawns there but you need to keep up with the demands of the group you kinda lead. This scenario (of keeping a group alive and give them tasks etc) would be really cool in Ravage. I never played the Stalker games to be honest (I know everyone says they are really good) - so I don´t know if this would lead in some other way than initially intended but I would love to play this. Often "only" to survive after I got great loot is not exciting enough for me - so such possibilities to make decisions to even join or create a group, rescue people, fight with your group against others would be very interesting. I know this is way ahead of what will be possible in the next weeks and months but I just like to discuss the possible direction with you guys here.

    I tested the new version yesterday night and I must say the new speed of the Zombies really annoyed me. The Mod has a new pace overall with that and I don´t like it much. I was constantly fleeing - couldn´t loot much without getting hit because they were just too fast behind you all the time. I liked the tempo better before and maybe the solution is between those two versions. And like others stated already I wasn´t under the impression that I could avoid being tracked right away by the running zombies - although I can´t distinguish walker and runner anymore to be honest. I really like that they can take more shots now and a Headshot is now really necessary. So long story short - in the previous version the pace was better for me personally. Now it is constantly running and fleeing without being really able to outpace the runner/walker(? I really don´t know.). Haven´t looked into the modules yet - maybe it is adjustable in there so I can set it back to my likings again.
