Suggestions ...

Recommended Posts

I've only played this game for two days now so maybe these have been suggested before or are actually in the game. I just haven't noticed these if they are in the game.

1. Squad leader should stay squad leader even when switching to different team mate so he can issue orders

2. Add to command list 'Follow' - as of now the team wanders around to much (not staying close enough to the squad leader) and then one or more get killed.

3. Add to command list stance commands like - squat and prone.

When I am prone in the game and I am the squad leader some team members are still standing. I think the team should do what the squad leader does as far as a stance is concerned.

4. Alphabetise the keypress assignments list. Would lessen the eye strain.

5. When in the keypress assignments list show a help bubble for the keypress assignment that one is looking at. Some assignment names are not very clear as to what they do. This would surely help us noobs.

6. Increase the slide effect on mouse speed. My sliders are all the way to the left and the mouse speed is still to fast. I am not use mouse smoothing or acceleration.

And it doesn't?

2. Add to command list 'Follow' - as of now the team wanders around to much (not staying close enough to the squad leader) and then one or more get killed.

Return to formation?

3. Add to command list stance commands like - squat and prone.

Those commands are there.. Both prone and crouch

4. Alphabetise the keypress assignments list. Would lessen the eye strain.

No clue what you mean. Controls-keybinds? They are categorized for a reason...

5. When in the keypress assignments list show a help bubble for the keypress assignment that one is looking at. Some assignment names are not very clear as to what they do. This would surely help us noobs.

You mean the controls-keybinds? I think the description is more than enough...

6. Increase the slide effect on mouse speed. My sliders are all the way to the left and the mouse speed is still to fast. I am not use mouse smoothing or acceleration.

It also depends on DPI used, as well as Windows mouse speed levels...

A sort function would be very useful. Toggle between:

* Function (like today)

* Name of function.

* Keybind.

Looks like they use a two columns list box or grid. So there could be a property to set OR a little bubble sort to do it. Even sort each column by clicking on a heading would be kewl too.

pufu,

1. doesn't for me

2. understand

3. when I the team leader go prone the rest of the team doesn't, just one that I see

4. come on, it's easy

5. some of the assignment descriptions are vague

6. this shouldn't be hard either just adjust the two limits (my mouse is 1800 dpi) ... If the slider in options doesn't affect the mouse then MAKE a slider for the mouse.

adding 7. unless I missed it, I can toggle prone with the same key press, but NOT the crouch

adding 8. when using the Command Menu system and choosing a command ALLOW the same key that brings up the Command Menu to execute the choosen command ... rather that using another key.

adding 9. when the Team Leader stops one of the team members always passes the Team Leader, meaning going in front of the Team Leader. I think all the team members should always be behind the team leader.

anyway, thanks for the game

1. Squad leader should stay squad leader even when switching to different team mate so he can issue orders.

This can be set up by the mission maker, and is more appropriately his decision.

Depends on the formation you use.

If you for example want to keep everyone close behind you, use "Column - compact"

I now understand how the Command Menu system works. I was wondering where all the commands where and I now see they are under the numbers 1 to 9.

I think one keypress might work through the entire command list, and a doubled keypress to escape without executing a command.
