Ganonman 10 Posted July 16, 2010 I recently downloaded the ArmA 2 demo...and before i buy it i really need to now...is the actual game run like the demo...i have trouble with; 1) Aiming ( When i move the mouse it over/under shoots the target.) 2) Driving ( I try to turn and if i use the mouse it only turns a little bit but when i use the keyboard it goes almost 180 degrees with just a touch of the key.) 3) Voices ( It sounds a little like 13 year old boys going through puberty.) 4) Environment Quality ( When i see videos on youtube they have a lot better picture then what i am seeing in game.) If anybody can help by explaining it would be greatly appreciated.

That's a problem with the game itself, driving vehicles with a keyboard and mouse in ArmA II is not very good. 3. That's because they are 13 year old boys going through puberty. 4. That could be a number of reasons, computer specs, graphics options, etc.
Ganonman 10 Posted July 16, 2010 Ok...and also...is there any visual difference with arrowhead?
toddrivers 10 Posted July 16, 2010 The driving controls can be made better by changing the mouse left from "car more left" to "car left" and obviously the same with the right, I think they should have made it this way by default.
Ganonman 10 Posted July 16, 2010 Alright..il try that....but i have noticed big differences in the demo and watching videos of people with the game...in the demo..its really hard to make any thing out
toddrivers 10 Posted July 16, 2010 Its pretty hard to see enemies against the long grass and trees in Arma 2, OA has mostly quite bare ground which makes it a bit easier to see, sometimes opening your map and pressing shift+ left mouse on a enemy puts a waypoint which can show you where theyre hiding. Placebo 29 Posted July 16, 2010 OA demo is very, very close, you should find it a more refined experience than the very old A2 demo, if you can hold out just a little longer the OA demo should help you make your mind up a bit better :)
