emerald 8 10 Posted July 11, 2010 I downloaded some multiplayer coop maps and follow there directions to place the files in the Missions and MPMisions files, but they dont appear as choices for multiplayer. Is there a bug?
hund 0 Posted July 11, 2010 So you put them in the mpmissions folder inside your root install directory (where the rest of the game is located), or created such a folder if one was not already present, yeah? Then you should theoretically be able to click on multiplayer, click on new and create either an internet or a LAN server, which yer mates can then join. That is how it's supposed to work anyhow. emerald 8 10 Posted July 11, 2010 I have put the mission .pbo's in both Arma2 and OA. I see them as single missions in Arma2 but nothing in OA.
hund 0 Posted July 11, 2010 alright, so you have seperate installations of arma2 and OA, yeah? If they are coop missions they are for multiplayer, which means they go into the mpmissions folder (not the missions folder). Now, to start them, you have to start your own little server, which is done in the gamespy browser where you can see all the other servers online. Just click new and follow the instructions. emerald 8 10 Posted July 11, 2010 (edited) I have a my own server. The multiplayers dont show up to choose them when the server starts. That makes me think that the server is static and the mplayer files have to be loaded into the server. What a dolt. Edited July 11, 2010 by Emerald
hund 0 Posted July 11, 2010 yeah if you have a dedicated server the issues might very well be different. That, however, is outside my expertise. Good luck with it matey!
terox 316 Posted July 11, 2010 Multiplayer missions on a server side in the root\MpMissions folder I suspect you may be placing them in a profiles\mpmissions folder It may also be that some of these coops need addons that you do not have, especially islands, so if you cant see the island then you wont be able to see the missions for them. Dont put MP missions into your missions folder
emerald 8 10 Posted July 11, 2010 I thought it was the server. It was, I'm a noob but, I found out how to add coops to the files and I'm happy
