[OA] CO10 Feruz Abad Push

Hi all!

I'm hereby releasing another coop mission for Operation Arrowhead:

CO10 Feruz Abad Push

Description:

The town of Feruz Abad needs to be cleared of all enemies. The local militia have established a stronghold in the town and have recently been launching several deadly attacks on coalition forces. This has to come to an end.

Your secondary objective is to take out two weapon caches in the town area. HQ only have a rough idea of their location so you need to search high and low.

Air support is on stand by should you run into heavy resistance.

Changelog:

v.0.80

-fixed random spawn of weapon caches, they will now spawn in 4 different locations each

-implemented wolffy.au's "cB Random House Position and Patrol" script for improved replayability. Now it's 'house-to-house' kicking in doors if you want to clear the town

-changed the probability of presence for several enemies and vehicles for an improved random experience

-added enviromental sounds; dogs barking, local style music etc.

-added civilians in and around the town (so remember those ROEs!)

-added custom loading screen + campaign style fade in

-added empty cars/trucks/motorcycles to be used for transport if Humvees are destroyed

-replaced one of the CROWS Humvees with the GPK version

-fixed tasks not being checked when completed

Would it be possible to add more cashes? and randomize their locations each mission load to give this more replayability?

We've played this several times now, and never have found a weapon cache. Anyone else had that problem?

Also, if you take out the SPG9s before calling in Air Support you get like 20 minutes of FANTASTIC Apache flybys! I was on overwatch and looking down on some guys sniping from the hill next to the outpost and an Apache came up over the ridge line RIGHT in front of them. Dust flying everywhere as it accelerated right over our heads. Also found out that a vehicle flying that close to you actually disrupts your aim! Way fun. heh

Are the caches randomized ? if not is it possible to make them random for replay value?

Spent an hour searching for the caches but could not find any. Marked off almost every house in the village.

Was otherwise cool.

That's some good work you put in Kaiza. But the two caches are not indoors... :P

Plus I will add other nice new features for replayability :)

So I just released the latest version of my mission:

Just had a quick go at the mission- great fun mate! :)

Great town setting in a valley with being able to attack from all sides!

Never had any probs with finding the caches-ya just have to search a bit!

Yup me claw and the guys had a good laugh on that went very well with 7 people, look forward to your next release, hopefully you'll join us for that as well :P
