Highway_Star 10 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Playing Domination, driving the Stryker MHQ around the deserts. I was taking damage as I drove over bumpy terrain (not from collisions, just driving around). I eventually died without warning as I'd been taking damage as I drove. Unless you are on roads, you'd better have a medic on standby when using a stryker. Additionally, the Strykers armour doesn't stop small arms fire. I was taking some M4 fire from team mates and was killed. And yet the vehicle remained fully functional, as if I had been shot out of the driving seat. This happened a few times. The Stryker should have a bulletproof ceramic skin to protect from these threats, but the ones in Arrowhead do not. Highway_Star 10 Posted July 1, 2010 Oh Dev Heaven deals with vanilla Arma issues? I've only used it for bug reporting in ACE.

fatty86 10 Posted July 1, 2010 Strykers seem a little weak. Despite the slat armour, a single RPG hit to the front is enough to toast it in my testing. Oddly enough, the Stryker can sustain multiple hits to the rear, where armour is traditionally weaker. Maybe the damage model is backwards?
Q1184 0 Posted July 1, 2010 Strykers seem a little weak. Despite the slat armour, a single RPG hit to the front is enough to toast it in my testing. Oddly enough, the Stryker can sustain multiple hits to the rear, where armour is traditionally weaker. Maybe the damage model is backwards? Probably because strykers have the 'engine' selection in the front, which is critical (i.e. if its damage reaches 0.9 the vehicle is dead).
fatty86 10 Posted July 1, 2010 That is an interesting "feature" of the Stryker; I will be sure to reverse it into combat ;)
