Wolfstriked 11 Posted June 5, 2010 When you are in optics mode and sidestep you can't slow down by pressing SHIFT.This should be fixed as it forces player to tap the A/D keys which then adds to Arma2's clunkiness feel.Any FPS in existence, when you reach a corner and press slowdown, you can then nice and smooth search around the corner. In Arma2 you get to corner and now have to tap tap tap the character towards the corner which feels wrong and adds more to the clunkiness of Arma2.Also the animation would be slowed down so that optic will not bounce as much as we have at current speed in game when sidestepping and so add a more tactile feel. No I do not hate Arma2 as many poster are doing. Its the only game in what feels like yrs that has me actually wanting to upgrade.I am off right now to buy a GTX480 for Arma2.:butbut::confused::mad::D:yay: ^^yes that is how I feel. ben_s 11 Posted June 5, 2010 That is : 1. Alot of emoitions at once. 2. Very odd. I dont get a trouble with walking around map. Try double-tapping shift. ( to switch shift to go into sprint ) then try sidestep. ?
Wolfstriked 11 Posted June 5, 2010 I think you misunderstood me,I know about dbl tapping shift and that is not it.When you are in optics mode press forward and then press shift and you'll notice you slow down. But this doesn't happen when sidestepping. sabre4809 0 Posted June 6, 2010 Its because moving forward has 4 speeds, sprint, run, fast walk, slow walk. While sideways has 2, fast and slow, ie, running and fast walking. Might be a good addition but I don't really find it much of an issue myself.
Wolfstriked 11 Posted June 6, 2010 Sideways has two when your unsighted. As soon as you hit the optics it drops to one speed only.I guess its just one of those things that only I notice.I still have awesome CQB's in Arma2 so I will live.
