Pistol is not displayed in holster.

I've just searched through the forums and all I have come up with is some Arma1 script that allows you to "hide" your weapon...

I would like to know how I can have side arms correctly displayed in/on thigh holsters. As of now all side arm/secondary holsters are empty, although their carrying a side arm.

"I want to see my pistols holstered, on my operators"

If anyone could point me to a script or addon that remedies this flaw I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't think its possible, at least not on a wide-scale of making it visible for every unit. Quite a lot of unit addons include visible pistol proxies, but these are always there, regardless of whether the unit has a sidearm or not, and doesn't change if the unit changes their weapons. I think something would need to be changed by BIS in terms of how secondary weapons are handled, for the unit's actual pistol to be shown, and for it to change when the unit swaps it out at a crate or whatever.

By the way I used to like the 'weapon in back/holster' action in OpF. Sometimes I want to play with my shitty pistol and it's kind of annoying to have to hold it like I am about to kill some mofo aight? I am a secret agent damnit! I am under cover!

The thing is that the animation for slinging your main weapon on your back is still here, as well as the animation for holstering the pistols. Is it possible to activate those anims in Arma 2?

Thanks for the reply, so it would seem the only way to have a pistol displayed holstered is to have it animated onto the unit prior. I have seen some addons with a pistol carried on the chest ect... just would like it with my current setup.

I'm fairly positive pistols will be shown holstered in the stand alone expansion. Looks like I'll just have to wait.
