[Request]Is there any long range sniping practice mission?

Recommended Posts

So is there one for different distances from 600m to 800m to 1,200m to 1,600m or even more(with mostly stationary targets and a few walking ones)?

With ACE2 and ACEX there's the TAC-50SD sniping rifle that could engage a target up to 2,000m and I just think I need more practice.

it wouldn't take 5 minutes to knock this up in the mission editor

just find a suitable location , put ace ammo crates next to you or add the weapon and mags in the init line of your player unit.

then use the grid lines to measure your target distances or use a marker with different sizes to measure

It would be pretty cool to make a mission like (dare I say it) the one in CoD where you need to assassinate someone from long distance then escape, something a bit more detailed then just target practice.

Yea I figured it's not going to be difficult but I just got the game for a wekk and haven't touched the editor yet.

Figured someone already came out with his version of sniping practice a much better alternative than my noobish attempt. :)

At least until I find the time to play with the editor and try it myself.

Tried it out it's not what I had in mind but that could do I guess. The problem is most of the troopers there stand in the same vicinity(thus distance) between 850-950m(ran to about that distance to them). Once you judged the range the rest is too easy.

Just have a simple range I made to help ACE with calibrating reticles, etc. Targets at 500 and 1000m. Sniper tools, wind, flags ( great way to learn to judge wind ), you don't need that much more really.
