Has anyone experienced this in Boot Camp?

I've completed all the missions in boot camp except the fixed wing mission.( just can't control that jet :mad:) even though Green dot has appeared next to the mission fixed wing, suggesting as this mission has been completed!

I think its one of the bugs!

I completed it once, learning to fly takes some time though, it isn't impossible.

You might want to rebind the flight controlls, or buy yourself a flightstick or gamepad for flying, it is much, much easier than using the keyboard

Flying a jet really does require better controls than just keyboard and mouse. Definitely get something for that if you have not already. Make sure you have something to manage the rudder. Pedals are best, but twist-sticks for rudder control will do.

Learning to hover takes some practice - you are basically doing a handstand with a jet. Start with small corrections and wait for the reaction. It's been compared to dancing - if your partner is heavy they are not going to react to direction changes instantly.

The best practice is to fire up the mission editor and make a solo airfield. It's not that hard to plunk down a pilot, set it to be player ( you ) and then a couple empty aircraft. Save the mission and you have a simple training ground.

Same thing happened to me so I went back and did it so my checklist was honest. If you do use keyboard light tapping of keys gave more control and save several times through course and auto land and good luck if you fly like me.:rolleyes:

Best advice I can give if you are stuck with keyboard and mouse, is use the keys for big inputs and use the mouse for fine tuning everything. Eventually it works into a flow and people think you're using a stick.

You must have missed someone since I've never heard of this bug being mentioned here before and I've never experienced it myself. Check the outskirts of the town for anyone you missed because you must have missed someone.
