Zipper5 73 Posted May 11, 2010 I believe your only option is to reinstall the game. BIS: FIX THE UNINSTALLER ALREADY! It reaaaaaaally can't be that hard to do... :butbut:
Richey79 10 Posted May 11, 2010 Mine did the same long ago. I'd only had time to give EW a couple of quick goes :butbut: I've tried all kinds of beta uninstalls and so on, but with no joy. Someone else on the forum said that a full reinstall fixes this, but I can't be naffed with that for one helo (I've misplaced my DVDs of the metaboli version, can't be bothered to redownload 5 patches, lazy-bones etc.), especially when I've got an old port of the A1 Apache which serves as well. demonlord89 10 Posted May 11, 2010 Do i have to reinstall then?and if...... will I be able to not remove my saves?
Zipper5 73 Posted May 11, 2010 If you don't reinstall you won't be able to play online on servers with key checks (most of them) as you'll be missing files they're checking for. You also don't have to re-download 5 patches. Just download v1.05, and then the latest beta patch. Install v1.05 first and then install the beta. You have to reinstall and then reapply the v1.05 patch to get them back. To keep your saves, go to your Documents, go to ArmA 2 or ArmA 2 Other Profiles, and backup your name's folder. For example, mine is: W:\Users\Thomas Ryan\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\Zipper5 Since I'm running on Windows 7.
CarlGustaffa 3 Posted May 11, 2010 I'd rather have no uninstaller at all, but an installer that renames the current beta directory to betannnnn directory and simply installs the new one, nnnnn being the build number of the old one.
