nikiforos 450 Posted April 10, 2010 (edited) Hello I did a test with everest and checked out the temperatures in my CPU. And the results are strange I should say. Here they come: Motherboard 33 °C (91 °F) CPU 80 °C (176 °F) CPU #1 / Core #1 40 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #2 40 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #3 40 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #4 40 °C (104 °F) Can this be a misread by the program? How is it possible that I have so high temp in my CPU and much lower in the cores? I would appreciate any answer regarding this issue. Thanks edit" In BIOS the CPU temperature is 42°C and fan speed att 3082. Edited April 10, 2010 by Nikiforos
Fox '09 14 Posted April 10, 2010 ignore the CPU temperature. the cores are the ones you want (CPU #1, etc) it looks fine.. play the game then check out the temps (while in game). and report back
echo1 0 Posted April 10, 2010 If they start to go over the recommended heat limit for the CPU, then technically yes. 40C is perfectly normal though.
Schancky 10 Posted April 11, 2010 If you haven't OC'ed your CPU then you should have no problem running it. What GHz is your processer?
nikiforos 450 Posted April 11, 2010 Thanks guys for replying so fast to my post. There are four processors each 3.4 GHZ and not overclocked.
Dead3yez 0 Posted April 11, 2010 Maybe a little OT but, what program did you use to measure the temps? I use coretemp and it only measures cpu #0 [edit] nvm i'm blind
nikiforos 450 Posted April 11, 2010 I use Everest and the CPU temperature is always CPU 80 °C (176 °F). So it must be some kind of bug or bogus. Never changes. AUX( dont know what it is) is Aux 33 °C (91 °F). Temps right now CPU temperature CPU 80 °C (176 °F) CPU #1 / Core #1 42 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #2 42 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #3 42 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #4 42 °C (104 °F) ---------- Post added at 11:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:06 AM ---------- I just tried Core temp and i get 42 °C (104 °F) in all processors 0,1,2,3. So it has to be Everest program who shows false temp .
Bulldogs 10 Posted April 11, 2010 I think there's an error somewhere there. The first row : "CPU temperature CPU 80 °C (176 °F)" should read : "CPU temperature threshold CPU 80 °C (176 °F)" Meaning that it will warn, alarm or reset once it hits 80, but the other temp counts are your actual temp. Check under Everest settings and it should have something about changing the threshold or alarm temp.
nikiforos 450 Posted April 24, 2010 (edited) Well im back and still not resolved the problem. Here they come: Motherboard 33 °C (91 °F) CPU 80 °C (176 °F) CPU #1 / Core #1 40 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #2 40 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #3 40 °C (104 °F) CPU #1 / Core #4 40 °C (104 °F) My CPU temp is still 80 °C But when I check BIOS for temp in PC HEALTH its shows Current CPU temperature 38 °C Is there anything I could do? or is it ok not to bother any more? PS I just finished a stresstest with EVEREST and the only thing not changing is the CPU temperature, CPU CORE temp changes normally. rexehuk 16 Posted April 24, 2010 Prob a busted thermoresistor/sensor. And use a proper prog to measure temps like CoreTemp or RealTemp... two of the best progs out there for it. http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/ http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ I prefer realtemp, worth a download. Leon86 13 Posted April 24, 2010 It's impossible for the CPU temp to be higher then the core temp. You should stress your cpu if you want to see relevant temps. You can do this easily with OCCT or Prime95. A core temp of 40 degrees is nothing to worry about as long as it doesnt get too far over 60 when stressed.
