Can you switch between mods?

OK this is going to sound completely noobish, but I have never owned a BI product before with the exception of OFP Elite for xbox.

I'm wondering if you can keep a vanilla version of Arma 2 separated from mods like ACE or others. So if you want to play or mission edit in vanilla Arma 2 one day, you can do that. But maybe the next day you want to switch to ACE and play around with that. Or mix and match a bunch of mods as you choose.

If so, how is this done?

I looked in the BI wiki and I couldn't really find an answer.

That is the whole point of mod folders, you choose what you want before starting the game up. You can not change mods after start up though.

I'll see if I can find a link or two to help explain the mod folder process...

That is possible by just removing the

-mod=@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX

parameter from your shortcut. Either that or you create a shortcut on your desktop for each of the Mods. Or you use one of the many ArmA2 launchers around which let you select which Mods to start with ArmA2.
