Karimloo 10 Posted February 5, 2010 I try to gun on the apache with the NV camera, and I just want my pilot to stay high and stay still over a target. But he goes all the way across the map when he sees the enemy. I tell him to STOP and he keeps going. Why cant I tell him what to do like the tanks? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Apparently it's too difficult of a task to "drive straight forward" when the tank commander orders "forward", especially if there's a little bush or a bag of trash in the way. max power 21 Posted February 5, 2010 Well, being the pilot in an AH means that he is in command (of the helicopter). He's flying how he wants to, not how you tell him, because he doesn't take orders from you on how to accomplish missions while in the heli. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Alex72 1 Posted February 5, 2010 OP: Just take some time to learn the game. Set the pilot to careless state (its after all AI and not a human. And for being an AI it kicks most other games AI asses). Download and use Mandoble's Missiles addon where you can tell the AI pilot to go higher and lower plus tell him where to go by point and click. Ta taaaa. Guest Posted February 5, 2010 I don't mind the AI pilots. In some scenarios, like forests, they can get quite drunk. But if you give them a little help, like don't allow them near forests, lol, they are quite good. Helicopter pilots especially are really good, they will actively drop troops off, straffe positions, and chase you down. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
