Intel Core i7 975 (Extreme Edition) + nVidia GTX 295

Recommended Posts

Hi to everyone,

I'm testing my new setup, is this:

ASUS RAMPAGE II Extreme

Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Edition

nVidia GeForce GTX 295

6Gb Patriot DDR3 1600

The game simply sucks... I don-t understand what need this game... More power???

The settings are by default and the resolution is 1920x1080 (fillrate 100%)

The games simply crashes... i'm using Windows Vista Ultimate 64...

Any ideas??

(Also running a clean install and the game with the 1.05)

Thanks...

hi,

i have the same system with 2x295gtx and i7950 win7-64.

on this system the game is unplayable at normal/low settings for me.

On my second system Intel q6600 8800Ultra 4gig ddr2 win7-64 i can play on very high settings VD 5000m without lag and load stuttering.

Not sure why you would buy a 295 at this point but that's a whole other story.

As the last guy said, either disable HT in the BIOS or add -cpucount=4 to the command line.

its not the game thats the issue there, its your H/W, S/W setup, you dont have it right. Best you just go through the nvida section here in the forum.

add -winxp(may not be needed since the 105 patch but try it anyway) to the shortcut and set you memory level to Default in the game options, I too have a 295. I also recommend dual booting with winxp 64bit to get an extra 5-10 fps in cpu limited areas. Also use the latest Nvidia drivers and don't change anything in the profile for Arma2
