  1. Yes, sometimes the buildings load the textures very slow and the FPS "jumps" from normal values to 15, and then go up again. I've purchased a SSD HD with 285Mb/s of reading speed to solve texture loading issues... will see what happens PD: My VGA is a GTX 295
  2. Hi at averyone, after a very depth reading of the post i've tested as follows: I've set all settings to VERY HIGH, y mean ALL, and the View Distance to 1600; The FPS are around 45-50, running, shooting, in a tank... Then put all settings to VERY SLOW, same FPS... When i've seen this, i've put the view distance to 3500, fps drop to 25 WITH ALL SETINGS IN VERY LOW, then put power up all to VERY HIGH, FPS are 23... Only 2 FPS (always talking at AVERAGE measurement of 120 seconds of gameplay)... The view distance, in my case, is causing me the FPS drop, and the quality settings does not affect NOTHING... (well... only 2 FPS...) ¿What could be the cause?¿?¿? Thanks a lot!!! (Drivers are 260.63 and Arma2 is in 1.07 version) ---------- Post added at 06:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:36 PM ---------- @Tankbuster My sys. specs are the one from the signature, i think that, using this pc, (and playing other games like Crysis warhead with everything to max levels, and using the "real" mod, fps NEVER go under 45 FPS... Thanks for your atention!
  3. Hi at all, i've looking and trying lots of suggestions, prerendered frames, modifying the Arma2.cfg... changing visuals into game, updating drivers, updating game... With the signature pc, i've about 25 FPS's in Harvest Red into manhatan base camp... this are my current settings and i've seen that people with lower specs runs the game faster and smother... ¿What's the problem? I can try any suggestion you have! Settings: The game is full updated to 1.07 and drivers are 260.63 Thanks a lot!!
  4. Hi to everyone, I'm testing my new setup, is this: ASUS RAMPAGE II Extreme Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Edition nVidia GeForce GTX 295 6Gb Patriot DDR3 1600 The game simply sucks... I don-t understand what need this game... More power??? The settings are by default and the resolution is 1920x1080 (fillrate 100%) The games simply crashes... i'm using Windows Vista Ultimate 64... Any ideas?? (Also running a clean install and the game with the 1.05) Thanks...
  5. Here is my setup: CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition MoBo: ASUS M4N82 Deluxe RAM: 8Gb DDR2 800Mhz Kingston HyperX VGA: Point of View GTX 295 HDD: Seagate SATA2 1TB ForceWare Drivers: 190.62 nForce Drivers: 15.46 OS: Vista Ultimate 64 This setup is a little bit slower than the first in the post... in menu my FPS's are about 120 but finalizing second mission, when the squad aproaches to the city FPS go down to 15-19... and in sometimes the games stop, load the area, and continues gameplay... ¿Do you know if ther's something i have wrong in my setup? I haven't found any solution searching in the BiForums... help me please... i spend lots of time in this machine :( language="Spanish"; adapter=-1; 3D_Performance=100000; Resolution_Bpp=32; Resolution_W=1680; Resolution_H=1050; refresh=60; Render_W=1680; Render_H=1050; FSAA=1; postFX=2; HDRPrecision=8; lastDeviceId=""; localVRAM=2138668992; nonlocalVRAM=2138668992;
  6. Finally i get my brand new CPU... and AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edittion... and i'm really impressed with the power if this CPU.... ¡¡¡BUT IN CrySis!!! not in Arma2... i'm really depressed with this game... I'm playing Crysis with all setup to Very Hight and with AAx4 at a resolution of 1680x1050... and the FPS NEVER descend from 35-40 FPS with a maximun (in a free of people places) of 80-90 In Arma2 is the same shit... 20-25 FPS maximum... and in third SP mission game turns unplayable 12-15 FPS maximum... i've recently reinstalled the SO (WinXP 32) latest drivers... and nothing changes :( In Vista is fully unplayable, this is what i'm trying XP... The only way i've to try is installing Win7... and trying it... Well... in other way, my current MoBo is not compatible with this CPU... and i had to make a plenty of paranoic changes to can make it run with this MoBo... this wednesday i'll try the new one, M4N82 Deluxe and will see if this "incopatibility" is fu*king me... See you and thanks!! ---------- Post added at 11:54 ---------- Previous post was at 11:50 ---------- Just to comment something curious. In first mission, into the forest, with all setup to Very High (except AA and AF, this twice is in normal and high respectively) i get an average of 40FPS (really) but the problem starts when game have to work with structures!! ¿Could it be possible? first mission an avg of 47FPS, second (with the little town) an AVG of 38 and third becomes unplayable... when i'm coming to the "civilization" everything slow down... ¿Why?
  7. Well, before making some changes and try many setups... Nothing changed. I'm playing Crysis with everything in Very Hight and a AAx4... a 39FPS AVG. I've upgraded the power supply, a dedicated ThermalTake POWERMAX 650W (just for the VGA)... there is not the problem... but, well now I have a total of 1300W Next step: ASUS M4N78 Deluxe AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition. Will see... (Excuse my poor english... please...)
  8. I have the following configuration: MoBo: ASUS M2N32 WS Professional CPU: AMD Athlon X2 5200+@ 2613Mhz RAM: 8Gb DD2 Kingston HyperX VGA: nVidia GeForce GTX 295 I've tryed latest drivers, older... SLI Patch... and can play more than 25FPS... maximum! average of 16 Arma2 setup is this one: Resolution: 1680x1050 3D Res: 1680x1050 Texture quality: High Video memory: High Aniso: low Antialiasing: low Terrain detail: normal Object detail: normal Shadows: normal Postprocessing efects: Low And draw distance 2017 ¿Does anyone know why can I get more than 25 FPS? and what is causing this extreme LOW average??? Thanks a lot!
