Hey guys!

Recommended Posts

Hey! Thank you for reading my post!

I have a question about multiplayer missions!

I have recently stumbled upon an AWESOME domination/cooperative/build a base multiplayer mission called co40 Spartica domination..(So and so)

Right when i join the game, it says AI_Disabled_1.09(V1)

Or something close to that!

This is my problem,

Are there ANY editing tool i can use; that won't render my arma 2 useless for joining other games; to change that AI_Disabled to AI_Enabled?

So basically my question is.. Are there any tools that won't mess up my arma 2, that i can use to enable the AI in that mission?

I hope you guys understood my question!

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Bakos

Hi Bakos

First: I am sure one of the moddies will warn you about the need to give your threads a descriptive title.

Second: Bugs for missions should be asked to the missions maker which if you do not know who it is you can check for the mission makers thread announcing the mission (Use the Search function selecting the User Missions section of the forum) Alternately check the mission download for a readme with the mission makers contact details and contact them via a PM to the mission maker or via an email.

I have never seen the message AI_Disabled_1.09(V1) in ArmA II

I am guessing it is a mission message explaining that the mission you are playing is a form of domination with a PvP only switch and that when you are logging on to that server the mission is set to PvP.

Third: Bugs in ArmA if it was such, and in this case I do not believe it so to be, get reported in the trouble shooting section of the forum.

Welcome to the community hope this will help you direct your self to a place where your query can be better answered.

Kind Regards walker

Hello there !

I have not playd the spesific mission you are reffering to, but usually its the admin of a server that decides if the AI is to be on or of depending on what ever the players of the servers want to play. These are one of the usual parameters on a mission file amongst others like example day/night or aircraft/no aircraft etc. You cah try to start up a MP mission on your own computer by creating example a LAN game by hosting it. This will give you the possibility to explore and try out the missions you play online for yourself and switch on the parameters you like to see. However a LAN game wil only be yourself playing or exploring.

To do this you wil need to copy the mission from your MPmissions cache which contains all the missions you have playd online. aka.. they are stored on your computer. You can find them on these locations depending on your operating system. XP :documents/arma2/MPMissionCache or Vista: Users/YourName/AppData/Local/Arma2/MPMissionCache

Copy the files you want to try out and put them in your gamesfolder under MPMissions. Usually .../programfiles/Bohemia Interactive/Arma2/Mpmissions.

Then you can select them when you create a game.

Editing however is a more complicated process and has some code of conduct and spesific thumb rules, but i dont think that is the answer to your question.

Have fun, and good luck :)

My apologies for posting this in the wrong section!

Thank you everyone for answering back though!

It was greatly appreciated!

Cri74, If you have msn, yahoo, or even just on here, Please add me as a friend and send me a message!

I want to know more about this mission editing!

Ps. I already tried the Parameters section while being admin and the only thing available to edit was time of day and random mission or something of such sorts.

Thanks again to all of you!

Sincerely,

Bakos

§22) Use descriptive thread titles

If you start a new thread, please make sure your thread title explains what you want without forcing people to read through your post first. Thread titles such as "How in the world do I...", "Need help!" or "Will we ever see..." are anything but descriptive. We do not allow these kind of titles and threads with such titles are subject to be closed.
