TrackIR 4/5 sales advice

Right, I know there is already a TrackIR thread but that deals specifically with v5. That search function sure is handy ;)

What I want to know is where can I buy TrackIR 4 or 5, preferably from within the UK or EU. I would rather pay as little as possible so I'm expecting lots of TrackIR 4 recommendations.

I've already tried the obvious places like Amazon and eBay. I've also found a couple of independent retailers but their prices are £130+.

The Freetrack solution is definitely a lot cheaper but also takes some DIY to setup. With TrackIR you're buying a complete package which is basically plug-in and go, but it's not exactly cheap. Freetrack is exactly the opposite - the software is free and you can get away with pretty cheap hardware but it's not going to be plug & play. The Freetrack part itself is actually just the software. You need to supply the hardware yourself.

The choice is really down to what you can afford and how much work you want to put into getting your head in the game. ;)

When in doubt, ask Dslyecxi. He's the one who pointed me to the German distributor. :)

I believe the current exchange rates are pretty good, so yes - it's a bloody good price. I say go for it. :)
