nettrucker 142 Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) Playing drums for six years, and composing for Invasion 1944. Hi SFG great to see a fellow drummer on this forum.:D do you play in a band? What are your favourite bands? What kind of music are you listening to? Sorry for being nosy but I'd like to know some more and maybe there are new bands for me to discover which I never heard about. For e.g. bhaz gave me great a hint and I discovered 2 great Australian bands with an outstanding musicianship. @ ArmAriffic I see you are from Australia. Do you know Karnivool or The Butterfly Effect? In case not, I can only repeat myself and recommend these 2 bands very strongly. They are awesome. @ Thomas C. Thanks for you reply. Can you post some links so that I can listen to something. It is always very interesting to me to discover music or bands which I don't know. There's so much music nowadays that it's impossible to know them all. @ tpw Playing an instrument shouldn't be considered embarassing even in case you doing it for years. Music and ArmA are the best drugs ever.:D Thanks to all of you for replies. Sorry if I don't reply to each of you personnally but as I already mentioned I have some serious time management problem. Stay tuned :bounce3: Edited February 20, 2011 by nettrucker
SFG 1 Posted February 20, 2011 nettrucker, nope no band. As far as bands go I listen to a wide variety because - as I'm sure you know - all genre's are quite interesting to play on the drums. Lately I've been playing more big band jazz, Sinatra and such. Man now you've given me the itch to go play some more!

Man now you've given me the itch to go play some more! Hi I've played myself some big band stuff like Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman, but that was a long time ago. But it was great fun especially because the band was quite good. we've played a lot of gigs at that time. Those were good times for me. In any case thanks for your reply keep it up. Cheers:D

nettrucker 142 Posted February 22, 2011 Playing guitar, considering the time passed since i started, i suck big time, but it's all about how much you love "makin" music^^ Hi Mr. Charles I agree with you on how much someone loves making music, otherwise people would stop making it and you don't need to be a "Steve Vai". The most important thing is to enjoy yourself and maybe others who are listening to what you are doing. kind regards
