The biggest problem with this bottom line is that it gives any and every extremist out there the opportunity to veto the peace process.  Consider this.  The Real IRA's Omagh bombing did not derail the Good Friday Accord in Northern Ireland because the main parties had the courage not to equate such an attack with a continuation of violence.<span id='postcolor'>

If you're not biased you're not human. In this particular situation it doesn't matter what our biases are. I do agree with your "so what" assessment regarding our differing opinions, though.

I'm sure you know that the IRA never got so desperate that it's bombers regularly embarked upon such one-way missions.  Just as you know that the British government was never able to boast 3 civilian kills for every victim scored by the IRA.  And I doubt the strength of extremist Loyalist/Republican paramilitary groups not happy with the Accord could rival that of Hamas and others who still encourage suicide attacks.  So what?

The circumstances may be far from congruent, but is that any argument for continuing to give the extremists the aforementioned veto power over the peace process?  It is if you don't want peace.

There's an interesting political development underway.  Ariel Sharon's political supporters have been divided between those who think he's been tough enough on the Palestinians and those who don't.  The latter group will most likely support the tougher-talking Netanyahu towards next year's elections.  For Sharon to survive politically, he now needs to prove that his tough-enough approach has worked by showing results.

Yesterday, he announced that his government is on the verge of a peace breakthrough as a result of secret talks with unnamed Palestinian representatives.  It's been more than a month since anyone within Israel has been killed in a terrorist attack.  Sharon claims this is because of his government's tough policies.

If Sharon is being honest about recent progress towards peace then the Palestinian people can be extra grateful that yesterday's car bomb was discovered.

Isreal should relocate the people of Palestine to another country that will take them, I am suer there is one. Since Isreal owns the land I have nothing against this.

In my own point, I think that seperation is they best way forewards, UN monitored and enforced if possible. However I really can't see Israel accepting it, how can this hurdle be overcome?
