Stewy 1 Posted December 17, 2009 G'day guys, Sorry for the lame questions - have tried to read the forums, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for...can you help me with a couple of questions? DDQ1 - Moving troops? How on earth do you move your team around? Have done the tutorial and tried in the editor...I select an AI team-member (say F2 for example) and scoll the mouse wheel to "Move There" and then click a spot in the distance and then my player voice screams "Halt" or "Don't Move!" What's going wrong? I can't move my guys anywhere! DDQ2 - Cam Faces I've downloaded that 700-odd unlocked faces addon - but what do I put in the init line to get my AI guys with cam faces? I know "this setfacetexture" ...and then what? DDQ3 - No screenshots!!! This is the killer, I love taking screenshots - but when I press "print-screen" for a cool shot, then open up PSP9 or MS Paint - and the image is just black with the screen dimensions - my guess is it's another great Windows 7-64 thing - just like losing ArmA1  DDQ4 - Green, Red and White dots over AI I've disabled the green diamonds on my team ( I hate them) but while I appreciate the red dots over enemy soldiers now, I would want to get rid of them when I get better - how do I do that? Thanks for helping with my dumb questions if you can - A2 is slowly growing on me - but the learning curve is very steep! Cheers guys Stew
Zipper5 74 Posted December 17, 2009 The quick commands are still there just like they were in OFP and ArmA II. To move someone, just select, point, and click. Same as always. However, make sure you use your mouse wheel to select "Move" instead of "Halt" in the menu that appears. Well, you don't need the camo face addon if that's the case. They're in the game already, the addon just unlocks them. So you can remove the addon. Put in the init line: this setFace "face01_camo1". That will put the unit with a camo pattern. You can do the same for every face in the game, and it goes up to camo3, I believe, for each one. I believe the screenshot issue with Print Screen was still in ArmA and OFP. Use Fraps instead to fix it. The only reason you would have green, red and white dots over units is because you're playing on Recruit. Switch to Regular and they'll disappear. De_little_Bubi 1 Posted December 17, 2009 DDQ2: As Zipper5 explained. Here is a list of all Facenames: http://www.armatechsquad.com/ArmA2Class/Faces/ DDQ3: I'm using Fraps on Win7-64. Works great :) (Edit: Added DDQ2 Answer)

Zenu 10 Posted December 18, 2009 You dont have to use the scroll menu to command them to move. Just select them and left click on where u want them to go, or use map and click on map spot.
cjph 0 Posted December 18, 2009 You dont have to use the scroll menu to command them to move. Just select them and left click on where u want them to go, or use map and click on map spot. The map select also works well if you get one of your team to pilot a transport helo - they will fly to the stated position and hover there until you tell them to disembark, and they will land it for you. Saves me time while I check the map (aka getting a beer but don't tell the AI that as they hate it when I drink and fly). Unless we get shot down and have to start again of course. Stewy 1 Posted January 2, 2010 Sorry to drag up an old thread guys, but have another dumb question. Is there any way to get rid of the command menu (at centre-left of screen) while in 3d mode? Not only is it useless and 'ruins the view' in outside spot view - but when I go back to 1st person view, I have to click it 'off' before I can fire at bad guys - which is time consuming and a little annoying! Cheers guys if you can help ;) Stew
Zipper5 74 Posted January 2, 2010 You can just go to your controls and remove the "Prim. Mouse Button" as the keymapping for, I believe, "Perform next action", or something like that. Then it no longer happens when you left click.
Stewy 1 Posted January 2, 2010 Hi Zipper, thanks for your help - I gave it go but got no joy :( Any other ideas? Does everyone get the command menu in 3d view? Cheers for your help Stew
