vehicle extreme pitch under braking:clues?

my vehicle model does a violent pitch and stuffs its nose in the dirt every time I apply the brakes. Seeing her arse in the air is all very sexy but its not what I want. Anyone know what property/config entry controls vehicle pitch in this situation? My geo LOD has centre of gravity low and centred to the model so that seems OK. Any clues please?

stiffer springs

damperSize = 0.2; // max. damper amplitude

damperForce = 1.0; // larger number more stiffness dampers

damperDamping = 0.95; // larger number less movement in dampers

sorry to come back on this but I forgot to mention my vehicle is tracked. I think the damper settings mentioned by mr stratton apply to wheeled vehicles? that leaves me with translationY damper settings in the model.cfg which are set very low already (other settings I've seen are massive in comparison). Any thoughts appreciated.

looks like it only works for wheeled vehicles cuz i went thru all the a2 armour configs didnt see any damper settings.

Could it be that the center of gravity is set too high in the geometry lod, causing the vehicles weight to tip it when it brakes? I'm just guessing, but that might be worth a check.

centre of gravity seems low enough to me. Will have to checkout some other models, see how they behave, maybe I'm over reacting. thanks.

Check out your mass distribution too.

If all the mass is in one smallish spot towards the center of the vehicle, it'll rock around wildly. Spread it out to the corners and you'll see the stability improve greatly.

Yep, your all quite right. It is a geo LOD problem after all (and me being an idiot).
