zoog 18 Posted December 9, 2009 Latest patch = beta patch? Do you also run the beta shortcut? Latest videocard drivers? Try turning off mouse smoothing in the controls screen, see if that helps something.

jw custom 56 Posted December 9, 2009 Also notice that ArmA 2 is not like COD where you spin around on a plate in 0.001 second, there's limited turn ratio.

no use for a name 0 Posted December 10, 2009 gtx 2xx series or ATI 48xx/58xx should be enough. You could go lower but then you're just bottle-necking that system (not only for Arma but other games as well)
kklownboy 43 Posted December 10, 2009 Whats your MotherBoard? A quadCore 2.7 and 8GB of RAM, with integrated graphix... Whats the name of your PC? HP Dell? ---------- Post added at 06:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:32 PM ---------- gtx 2xx series or ATI 48xx/58xx should be enough. You could go lower but then you're just bottle-necking that system (not only for Arma but other games as well) Not really a option.. His CPU will be a bottleneck for the GPUs you advise, but thats not the real issue, its his PSU, if he has a AMD Phenom from HP or Dell its at most 300w, and thats not a 12v high amp version( think POS version) But it could even have a 250w:omg:...., though he will have ONE slot and it will be a pci-e 16x. For a new card a 5750, or what ever fits the PSU.. then its a new PSU... And the 8Gbs is ok, all 6400...but he will be able to run a RAMdisk. I guess a 9100 CHIPSET has a IGP = GF8200
Peonza 10 Posted December 10, 2009 Its very mission depending , Arma 2 will be CPU or GPU bottlenecked. You can have 2x5870 , but 200 AI soldiers just make your fps like 20-30 if you got average cpu. Few soldier groups will make your fps over 100 , and no mater in what place of island they are
