I don't know if this has been posted before, but it seem that deactivating certain services under Windows 7 x64, can help improve performance. In combination with the fabulous work that BIS is doing with the beta patch updates, for me the game ( sorry The Mil-Sim ) runs very good now. a light overclock of my GPU Shader clock from 1512 to 1620 mHz Stopping, and disabling the windows search service Installation of the lates beta patch: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=84347 Of course, as Alex72 already mentioned, Updating and staying up to date in terms of display drivers and such, can help a lot as well . all this gave me a complete stutter free Arma 2 game play. example : Played Cipher v1.41 in specop mode coop with a buddy. Used: JTD Fire and Smoke CBA SLK 1.5 ( latest release ) VFAI I have about 30 - 40 FPS ALL the time! with the lower 59xx betas i was running 25-30 sometimes high 30s Settings: AA= off ( using nhancer for that 4xS setting ) AF= off Prepossessing= off All else is on very high and native res 1680x1050 try it out and post your success :.-) Edited November 16, 2009 by markushaze content Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
