I was wondering whether the USMC version of the M16A4 really has M4A1 trademarks, as shown on this airsoft rifle?

That's not an M16A4 and it shouldn't.

That's modeled after an M16A2 and yes it obviously wrongly labeled, not to mention done in white paint rather than engraved. M4 has noticeably shorter barrel. Also, it's supposed to have Colt's logo on it even on the USMC rifle. Although, I can't remember if it says anything about being a USMC rifle beyond the property of US government labeling.

No, an M16 should have M16 markings. Furthermore, actual Marines would probably be unhappy with the bright white paint.

Thanks guys, someone on a forum said it was because the USMC M16A4 was built upon M4 recievers :rolleyes:, Didnt know what to reply since I have no knowledge of the Marines.

Most probable its this way because the manufacturer doesn't have the licence to use the proper name.
