Questions reguarding the game

Ok. So I purchased the game via steam.

Now for my questions...

What are some reasources for a noob to the arma series? I have a feeling im going to feel very overwhelmed.

Have the lame lame LAME wrong sounds been fixed? Because an A10's gun sounding like a machine gun upsets me...

A10's useful when being flown because that plane really appeals to me.

Game types? Where is the most action and fun game type wise?

Mods... I hear there is about a million mods... which ones are necessary?

Sound mods. Especially Mark's HiFi A10 sounds. Very close to real life. Gametypes differ from person to person. I myself prefer a good COOP mission (not domination.) others, prefer PVP, where others prefer Domination / Evo. It's all player preference. Yes there are many many addons & mods and many more to come. None of the them are "necessary" per-se.
