Ok with steam ... How do I install addons? How do I install/run more then one addon at a time?

Ok. So I purchased the game via steam. Now for my questions... What are some reasources for a noob to the arma series? I have a feeling im going to feel very overwhelmed. Have the lame lame LAME wrong sounds been fixed? Because an A10's gun sounding like a machine gun upsets me... A10's useful when being flown because that plane really appeals to me. Game types? Where is the most action and fun game type wise? Mods... I hear there is about a million mods... which ones are necessary? Thanks guys.
