Recommended Posts

so someone care to explain why im getting this message today, i have 2 bought copies of ARMA2 sitting infront of me on my desk. i have been testing my WIP kiska addon today, making a video. and this message appears accross the centre of my hud after about 5 minuites of flying. its completely ruined my video :( .Any ideas why im getting this? is it related to the fact im making a mod at present ?

Maybe it refers to the Skira island? :p

But seriously, bummer...

You say you've bought two copies. Are both installed on the same system? Are you trying the map in Multiplayer by any chance?

no, one copy is for a friend who lives in germany, that ive still not sent to him. i run my own copy. 1.04 patched too, absolutely no mods installed. sorry to confuse the issue there. Just emphasising im not a cracker or whatever u wana call that,,

Fade is like cancer. You just mind your own business and suddenly WHACK!!! you got some serious FADE in your Arma and there is nothing you can do about it.

Is there a way to deactivate it once it gets going, I wonder?

uninstalled game and tools, cleaned registry, will re install and see what happens.

Yeah that sucks to have to do that, but test it.

Never happened to me or any friends though. Maybe something while making the island...? The tools messed something up? No idea.

Hope it works out. Good luck with the re-install.

Do an anti-virus scan on your PC with something like Avast. If anything modified the EXE it could trigger the copy protection.
