Intros?????

Ok Ive made quite a few missions now, but wanna put intro in to set the mood of the mission.

Now i kno what I want in the intro basically its a little stand off between opfor and blufor shooting at eachother which ive set up and saved via the intro drop down bar of the editor ive created a trigger and selected end1 with a time out of 20 so it should just be 20 secs of watcjing the gun fight with a bit of text over lapping. Now Ive done all this my only problem is...... I just wanna watch i dont wanna play as anybody so there is no player selected, but it just keeps coming up "no player selected" and goes straight to the mission and cuts out the intro???

Please help

Problem is, you have to select a player. You won't play the mission you're just taking the role of one guy. And for an intro you need to create a camscript. Do you have one?

Sorry to HI-jack this thread a little but i didnt want to start a new one about the same subject. I posted a thread on Armaholics and got no answers any chance someone can have a look..

Much the same as above I made a short section of mission in the INTRO map. (this being a flyby of C130's getting shot down by shilkas at dawn the surviving c130 drops you off. Problem being I now spawn as a pilot and my nightvision is on "4:55" so yeah its dark but you dont need nightvision. Do i just need a cam to follow the plane or what?

I suggest you take a look into Mr-Murrays Editing Guide or into the AMS Camscripting Tutorial. Both guides are quite helpful. ;)

This may set up the camera if added to the int line of the 'element' chosen.

Yeah I have looked at all of the above. But I guess im still not getting it. I have a C130 run all set up .. all i need is the cam to attach to the C130 at a decent point and follow it .. then follow the paradrop and done.

This just seems to be hard to do without massive complicated scripts that I dont really understand.

Please post link id they do. Ive looked at a few but they very complex so dunno what im looking at really.

Here is an example. It's the Intro for my SP-Campaign(still work in progress). It's not perfect but i like it. And i also hope it's not too complicated. The only difference to other intro's is that i put it not in the intro part but in the actual mission. In fact, this Intro is a single mission. Maybe it helps. :)

All i can see in your intro is one unit placed but when u preview it its just a clock fast forwarding????

As i said before, you have to go into the "mission" area. I made this intro as a separate mission. ;)
