Disable player suppression effects?

Is there an option or a mod to switch off the suppression effects on a player?

It is really a nag, especially the automatic dropping to your belly. You are trying to get ashot with your RPG, then suddenly you drop down, which also lets you switch your weapon to your rifle, then you get up again...

Usually you get killed somewhere in that sequence without much you can do about it.

To me, that's not realistic but indeed an immersion killer.

Can you explain it a little clearer, like version, what the situation is ... have you any mods/addons running?

The only suppression effects there are by default is blurry screen and bigger weapon sway.

You mean your unit you are playing starts doing things on his own free will??? That he throws himself down to the ground even though you didnt press "lie down- prone"?

Hmm, then it must be one of the gazillion mods I am using like SLX, True Mods etc.

I will check this out and report back.

Happens in SLX. The mod is using its own suppression system and there's a chance to drop prone when you're suppressed.

I know SLX in general is good stuff, but that sounds a bit effy to me. Problem solved though. ;)

Believe me, it is!

Personally I do not like many of the wound and related stuff implemented by some of the mods. I fully respect the wish to create a realistic sim, but for me immersion and playability come first.

I do not want to have to open my backpack, search through it to find where the heck I packed those dang bandages, wrap them around my damaged leg, close the backpack, then unsafety my gun, ... and all that via those darn action menue commands.

Sorry, got a bit off topic ;)

(And no, I am NOT a BF2 kid. I was not young anymore, when OFP came out, and I did not play much else since then :-) )
