I was told here is the place to post this. This may be old news.

I am having a problem in the campaign, and I need a cheat to get through the mission. I am about in the 4th, 5th, or 6th mission in the campaign from the Cold War Crisis CD. The mission starts off with you lost in a forest, and you are separated from your squad. Problem: the objective is an extraction point about 1 mile away. I cannot get there without being shot by patrols and BMPs. Yes, it's loads of fun, but after the 20th try, I am ready to advance to the next mission. I have tried to jump from forest to forest and work my way down there but there are loads of patrols in the area and in the fecking woods. The idea is to sneak undetected but it's day and there are large open fields. What is the secret?

The weird thing is that I played this mission before I had to reformat my hard-drive and subsequently start over, and I do not remember being separated from my squad. I must have done something.

Someone suggested that I go into town (Provin??) and steal something.

I am at my wits end!

Pick up a Law or two from the soldiers in front of you, and the binoculars if you wish. Turn back around and run through the forest untill you get to the eastern edge. I suggest saving here. You can either sneak into the town or fight your way into the town. I ended up quickly killing the four man patrol then snuck up the hill and got the BMP with my LAW. then run into the town find the UAZ quickly and get in and start driving. Do not follow the road, get off the road to the left. Once you are in the forest your extraction point should have changed. just run through the forest untill you get to the edge and run to the forest with the extracton point.

If you want to beat the 'After Montinac' mission, do this:

When you start out, run straight ahead for about 20m. You will find two dead U.S. soldiers. Grab some extra mags and make sure you take the LAW launcher. Move quickly. Reverse your direction and head towards the town. There is a BMP and some soldiers garding the town. Take out the BMP and the soldiers in the town and steal the UAZ that is there. Stay off the main roads unless you want to get blown to pieces by Soviet aircraft and armour. As the mission progresses you will get updated as to where you can be extracted. When you are given your destination, head there in the UAZ. Your final pick up pont is in the corner of some woods, don't approach it from the open, go through the forest. When you are close enough a cut scene will start: mission complete.

If you are totaly sick of the mission and want to take the noobie way out, type: [shift]+[-] ((-) is on the numpad) and then type 'endmission'

I am fed up with the forest mission and want to skip. I tried to follow the instructions, but I have limited ammo (3 clips). I killed the 4 guards on the hill and blew up the BMP. But that damn helicopter keeps blowing me up in and out of the woods. For me to get tp Provin, I have to cross open ground, and the helicopter shoots something at me and blows me up or severely wounds me so that I cannot stand up. Plus there are about 4-5 more enemy troops to kill, and they are shooting, and I just do not have the ammo.

Would you spoon feed me and walk me through this once more. You said to type: [shift]+[-] ((-) is on the numpad) and then type 'endmission'

How and when do you type the above to skip a mission? Also exactly how do you type it? The way you have it, it looks like a mathematical expression. Do you push "shift" or hold it down? Is the "+" a plus or is it something that needs to be pushed?

I have been stuck on the same mission and have the same results. The only time I have avoided the Hind I stayed very close to the forest. I was heading southeast towards the original extraction point but a tank blew me away. My problem is that I have not yet heard about the new location for extraction. After trying this about 30 times or so I did the "noobie way"

I hit shift then the minus sign on the num pad, then typed endmission and the mission ended. I wonder, does this send you to an alternate mission or is it the same as if you actually completed it?

If anyone can offer any more ideas for this it would be great. I will probably go back and try again but frustration got the best of me. Good luck TFTO.

Yes, it was fun until the 20th try. remember I am a dummy:

do you hold down the shift key and then press "-" from the numpad? Do you do this during the mission or after you get killed? I assume it's during the mission.

Also, typing "endmission," do you have to manually type this in or do you select it from a menu?

Next dummy question, what do you type it in? is there a box to type in?

During open gameplay you press shift and - no box comes up you just type it and if typed correctly the cheat will activate.

I can't seem to remember how I beat this mission, I remember doing it though, because when you get to the extraction zone there are dead U.S. troops everywhere and you get captured and put in a tent. The dudes who are guarding you get waxed by some resistance, they capture you and take you to Slava.

Just wait 'till you play it on Veteran with everything disabled except Super AI !

I start running full speed ahead towards the road and into the town, without firing a single round. There I steal the Skoda and drive as far as possible until hearing Tanks trying to get me, at which point I disembark and continue on foot.

Again, without firing a round. As a matter of fact, I finished the mission without firing a single round nor dying once.

Boy was I lucky (or skilled).
