banenwn 10 Posted October 3, 2009 Hi im fairly new to the game been playing it for 3 weeks or so and i just wanted to show some love for this game.I see alot of negetive comments and thats all fine and dandy but this game blows me away the possibilities are endless. Im trying to figureout the editor i very much want to make missions and add to the community somehow. This games overall greatness will be defined by the community and extra content in which were already getting alot of. I want to thank bohemia for a great war simulator and giving us the tools to make great missions.Eventually i would like to find a mature clan to join up with.Im old school i played back in the deltaforce 1 days but unfortuneatly never played flashpoint much. To the community who have contributed in one way or another thanks and i hope this game keeps going strong for years to come!

jw custom 56 Posted October 3, 2009 I see alot of negetive comments... Thats mainly from people who don't got a clue and gets frustrated, they should return to sims :bounce3: ArmA 2 is awesome, not saying it's perfect but it's getting better on every update
Crni-Vuk 10 Posted October 3, 2009 Thats mainly from people who don't got a clue and gets frustrated, they should return to sims :bounce3:ArmA 2 is awesome, not saying it's perfect but it's getting better on every update  Yes sure. Thats a very easy conclusion. Every kind of criticsm is plane wrong I guess and Bohemia can do no wrong. I am missing the inquisition though. Dont get me wrong. Arma II is definetly a "fun" game. No one can seriously dispute that. But its not free from errors or eventualy wrong decisions even from Bohemia. They released a game way to early which is a fact. For quite many people neither multiplayer nor singleplayer was really playable and the campaign literaly at some point. One might argue that the campaign is just to get used with the game but thats beside the point. It was there. Its not to much to expect from it to work in a correct way. Or it should have been left out completely. That way they might even had enough time to concentrate on other things before the release. Another part is the userfriendlienss of the game. I havent played it recently but with patch 1.3 I was still missing easy ways to get rid of team killers (a easy to access vote kick menue would be already a start). Hands down simple "the game is shit and bohemia sucks!" comments are wrong and of course will lead to nothing. But there are a lot of criticism on this board that actualy DO have a place and do not aim at Bohemia but just adress things that actualy happen. The game for example is still very hardware hungry for apparant no reason (well for some it seems).

trickster1982 10 Posted October 3, 2009 You've started playing it at the right time which is why you'll find its great now, on the games release & for a few weeks after these forums were loaded with people moaning about how it wouldnt run, endless bug reports, how bad it was etc, but they've all gone fairly quiet since the recent patches & we now have a decent game to play
jw custom 56 Posted October 3, 2009 on the games release & for a few weeks after these forums were loaded with people moaning about how it wouldnt run, endless bug reports, how bad it was etc... trickster1982 10 Posted October 3, 2009 And still many many people including myself was able to enjoy the game  Same here, on a two year old PC (admittedly still high spec) I was able to play the game fine once I'd balanced the graphics settings, and since subsequent patches ive been able to tweak the visuals up further so im happy! banenwn 10 Posted October 3, 2009 well as a long time PC gamer i expect bugs in a sandbox game of this nature.Im happy enough knowing bohemia has great support with the numerous patches being released. I loved boiling point which is another sandbox game however the developers did not stand behind there product.I think one patch was made and it didnt help much with anything. We should all be happy atleast that we get many updates to make the game better from bohemia. A game this size will have problems on release theres no way around that, its not like its a rail shooter that bugs are easily detected.I always give a game like this a year to get the quirks and such worked out but to me most of them have been ironed out already. Very truely said! Take a look at my signature - games of this great-open-world-type can't be without bugs. You wanna be close to real life and(!) immensly open? So it will have it's bugs ... like my espressomachine for example :o or my Porsche or the bus/train coming later then expected. :( And look http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=84477 how early and how many people found the wish to be just thankful - as I truly am. Last night I did a few hours with more than 50 vs 50 ... (Berzerk/Domination) on a battlefield that had much to be reduced in largeness ... so expect the most, but don't treat BI games as comparable to BF2, "OFP" Dragon Rising ... it's just another categorie.:) And it was fun ... there with a hundred gamers ... but if there weren't also the possibility to play AA2 in a complete different manner ... or to add my instantvisionideas into the editor ... I wouldn't like it even to play that. I love it, because it was made in cooperation with the community itself and the missions we actually do are mostly a product of the community too. Rapier 10 Posted October 3, 2009 Thats mainly from people who don't got a clue and gets frustrated, they should return to sims :bounce3: Without fair criticism you wouldn't see patches released to any games. And stop thinking that everybody who complains are all just "newbies" , because most of the fair critics have a much more experience regarding the arma/ofp glitches and problems, than random "playing it for 3 weeks" figures who are still in the process of learning all the aspects of the game. I can understand fair critism but when someone in another forum complains they cant play it on there geforce ti-4600 and rants about it thats just ridiculous.I dont ever remember a game this open ended coming out bug free or polished for that matter.OP flashpoint was the same way at the beggining

jw custom 56 Posted October 4, 2009 ...fair criticism... You don't read around here much do you :j: And stop thinking that everybody who complains are all just "newbies".... Hey you stop telling me what i think... it's easy to spot complains from people who don't got a clue as they mainly contains words like "f*cking", "pile of sh*t", "where can i get a refund" etc. etc. Valid complains are usually posted in the suggestions/troubleshooting/beta patch forums ;)
