How to get the - winxp to work.

Hey guys , i thought i would post a new thread on this so if others are searching the forums they can find it to , i couldnts fine specfic details on it :/ Can some one tell me how to get the -winxp into the shortcut properly?

Windows Vista / Steam

It's simply added to the target path in the shortcut:

"D:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -winxp

Windows Vista / Steam

For Steam, go to the "My games" tab, right click on ArmA 2 and select properties, then, under the "general" tab, click the "Set launch options" box and add -winxp.

Under steam you can also add it to launch options (go into Steam -> my games -> right click arma 2 -> properties -> set launch options)

Is -winxp flag really necessary now? I thought it was only so the old-ati drivers could get crossfire running?

For ati that was fixed months ago, unless you want to use the Crysis.exe rename. That needs the flag. No the -winxp switch is for 8GB of system RAM issue, and for getting a 295gtx to run in sli on some nvda drivers; anything between 186 and 191
