hollow point 1 Posted September 26, 2009 Ok guys heres the thing. Got a mate round the other day for a LAN session. No other problems except one. If I made a mission and I am the host, all is well. Very smooth no probs. BUT... Who ever is not hosting experiences a kind of lag. Not FPS lag but jerky movement of troops and vehicles. Is there a fix for this kind of thing? Bulldogs 10 Posted October 6, 2009 Make sure you're running a wired network (not wireless)
hollow point 1 Posted October 6, 2009 It is a wired network. straight connection between the two machines. is this a known problem?
Bulldogs 10 Posted October 6, 2009 I haven't noticed it myself, try disabling Post processing on both machines.
hollow point 1 Posted October 7, 2009 I haven't noticed it myself, try disabling Post processing on both machines. Post proccessing is off on both machines. Could it be the network chips? or the fact that I use XP and he uses Vista?
Tankbuster 1533 Posted October 11, 2009 If you were playing Domination, you will get odd results. You need a dedicated host for that.
hollow point 1 Posted October 13, 2009 Playing missions made in the editor. I think arma did this as well. Anyone else had these problems?
anfiach 10 Posted October 14, 2009 Never played via lan, so I can't offer any advice. Is it jerky on the host or both?
hollow point 1 Posted October 14, 2009 Never played via lan, so I can't offer any advice. Is it jerky on the host or both? The host always has no problems. Its the other PC that has the jerky units..
maddogx 11 Posted October 14, 2009 This is generally a problem with Arma2. You'll be better off running the dedicated server exe in parallel with the game. That way you can configure the network bandwidth usage and other parameters as explained here.
anfiach 10 Posted October 14, 2009 Take his advice, the only other possibility I can think of is a bad cable.
