calo_mir 10 Posted September 20, 2009 It just took ten rounds from the M24 from 800m to kill a russian soldier. Two of those were in the head. Is there some way to uniformly increase damage from bullets without editing the definition of every single weapon?

Q1184 0 Posted September 20, 2009 Check if you have 'Extended armor' enabled in difficulty options. To answer the question - decrease body armor of soldier classes :)

The damage done by rounds seems to tail off massively at distance (read: much more than is reasonable given the caliber and muzzle velocity). I would guess it's an algorithm issue - the .50 cal weapons never take more than two rounds to kill at pretty much any distance. ---------- Post added at 05:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:07 PM ---------- Check if you have 'Extended armor' enabled in difficulty options. JDog 11 Posted September 21, 2009 Gnat;1444306']Fade ? lol@this. not sure if that's one of the... "punishments", though. the big one I think is a heat-wave like effect that gets ever closer and more intense until you cant really see what you're doing. calo_mir 10 Posted September 25, 2009 I don't think it's FADE causing problems. That'd be three people with legit copies that basically play one game of vanilla Arma 2 once a week that would've somehow all mysteriously managed to trip FADE. Unlikely. So there really isn't a damage multiplier? What would be the most sane way to do this, then? Reduce armor for all units? Increase bullet class damage?
