Exactly the same error message ive had when installing all the patches for the game, and ive got the disc version! Ive got round it by completely uninstalling the game,re-installing it & then applying the patch which for some reason works but its far from ideal!!Im not sure why I get the message though because I havent played with any of the core files or installed any mods barring user made single mission pbo files!

Edit : Nvm, it appears that Boysteampc.com is something not quite legit, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with that so I'm not sure about that and can't provide info on it.

Do you have DvD, Steam, download version?

Try uninstall the game as said earlier. And install ARMA2 and apply the latest patch.

Where did you buy the DvD from?

Just ask because as far as I know it shouldn't be using a Boysteampc reg key.

Unfortunately without the original one there's not much you can do. It'll be very difficult to update and even if you do then you'll suffer from fade protection issues (very inacurate weapons), you can try direct 2 drive (fileplanet) or steam for download original versions but those services may be blocked in your area

This is ridiculous, you don't have the original but you dare to come to the official forums and ask for support? Use the original game then you have no patch troubles.
