Polygons

Recommended Posts

I'm a modeler from Desert blast mod team, and I have one question for those who succeeded in exporting OFP model files to an editor:

with how many polygons are those model commonly built?

What is the upper limit not to cross over?

Thanks for answering

Dont think there really is an upper limit.

Most OFP models are at about 1500 polys at highest LOD detail.

Use the p3d converter to check out the demo models.

Thanks! tounge.gif

But do you know where I could get already converted p3d models (I've tried to do it myself but I didn't succeed)

so its about 65536<span id='postcolor'>

How about upper limit that still leaves the game playable on a 1Ghz machine? Just because your video card can display it doesn't mean the CPU won't choke in game.

Just look at the models in the game, the poly count is low and textures are put to good use.

Did you unpack the p3d files with the sqm unpacker first? I missed that when I tried at first smile.gif
