Relemar 10 Posted September 6, 2009 what is Russian Anti-air, Shilka or Tunguska? I cant seem to find the Shilka in editor, but in multiplayer sometimes I see Shilkas, but on the other hand I see Tunguskas a lot whiere is shilka in the editor?? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
l mandrake 9 Posted September 6, 2009 shilka is the old-model mobile AAA - i think only the insurgents use them in the game; they are supposed to be old, battered hand-me-downs which have been crudely repainted. Tunguska is the more advanced bad-boy in the modern Russian military arsenal, combining cannon with SAMs - a bit too deadly for the confined environment of Chernagorsk, unless you use RKSL's excellent countermeasures mod..... Lhowon 10 Posted September 6, 2009 The CDF also use the Shilka - the insurgents will have stolen it from them. I disagree that the Shilka is bad. It's a bit hard to use as a player unless the target is quite close, but when it is the Shilka is devastating. The AI on the other hand are good at using it at long range and it can be deadly, especially against helicopters. The Tunguska is much better though due to its amazing missiles. Shadow NX 1 Posted September 6, 2009 If anyone wants russian vehicles like the ZSU-23-4 Shilka and BMP-2 on the russian side where they belong id suggest to search the forum for amod named "Extra units" that adds them in classic army green ( taken from ArmA1 ) to the russian arsenal.
