WKK Gimbal 0 Posted March 31, 2002 Well, I don't think the SA-80 is just another western scoped assault rifle. A Steyr has a 1.5x scope (usually, and in OFP), while the SA-80 has a 4x scope, as well as slightly lower rate of fire than the Steyr. This makes it more of a mix between an assault rifle and a marksman rifle. I've made an SA-80 for my UNPROFOR mod and I really don't think it's like any of the western assault rifles. The scope is a great advantage at distance, but at close range it's handicapped. The ability to fire small bursts at distant targets, with fair accuracy is quite unique. Ok, now it may sound out of game balance - it's certainly not, but it's quite different. My point is just to underscore that there can be great variety within a class of weapons, without one specific weapon outruling the others. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Personally the more weapons to try the better. Also, only the M4-A2 has full auto capabilities. Only SOCOM uses that in the U.S. (my unit has them).
