Uh...whoops...

Recommended Posts

I cranked out the GFX settings all the way just to see what it looks like...then I had some issues with crashes and bad drivers. Those are fixed now, but ArmA 2 is still set to max settings and it freezes/lags out in the menu screen...

Anyone know how I can fix it in the config files? If I can get the game to run then I can go back in and fix the graphics settings.

Thanks.

delete your arma.cfg and profile file. Those files are in your windows documents folder.

If I delete the profile, do I also lose my campaign progress?

I think you might loose it if you delete everything. So do a copy of every folders you have in your current profil. So if you loose your saved games, just copy the old folder over the new one.

There is an arma2.exe switch (-) that will disable loading anything at startup except the menu.

don't know it off hand but that would let you get in and turn down your settings.

I would just use the command that H-street said.

So your shortcut should look like this.

-noworld

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -noworld

It may look different, but that will just load an empty world and should allow you to change your video settings.
