waterinthefuel 10 Posted August 13, 2009 I don't really care to have to continually reset my entire kit to what I want after I've died. To me, once you have selected a particular loadout, when you die and respawn, that should be the loadout that you get, not always getting the AK-107 no matter what. I seem to remember this is what happened in Arma 1. You select the gun once during the game and you'd keep getting it upon respawn unless you select something else during the match. Anyone else on board with me on this?
ActionMan 10 Posted August 13, 2009 Which mission are you talking about?
waterinthefuel 10 Posted August 13, 2009 I'm talking about in multiplayer games.
mosh 0 Posted August 13, 2009 Each mission has its own respawn rules. Some reset you everytime, some remember your loadout. It is up to the mission maker.
waterinthefuel 10 Posted August 14, 2009 I didn't know that. Now I feel like a dunce. Both of my suggestions have turned out to be part of the game already, I just didn't know. :o
galzohar 31 Posted August 14, 2009 Well the fact that the default is so bad is still an issue. If you don't make any script for anything and just set it to respawn at base and place a marker, you will respawn with the same "respawned soldier" loadout every time. They could've at least make you respawn with your class' gear by default. But I guess they don't want someone to be able to make *anything* (that is more than placing a couple units in the editor and clicking "go") without writing some code. At least using a whacky loadout for respawns made it easy to see when your loadout saving script doesn't work...
waterinthefuel 10 Posted August 14, 2009 That's a good point and is part of what I'm talking about. I'm an AT soldier, but I get a default loadout every time. It's just weird. You are right though.
