You might also consider Voice Activated Commands. Price is 18 USD after a trial period.

- Pilfius is still available and works for many people but it seems to be abandonware.

- Shoot also works for many people but you have to speak one. word. at. a. time.

- VAC has a functional support forum and you can issue your voice commands in a natural manner of speaking.

piflus works great with Silent Hunter, so i'd be keen to try it with Arma2.

only problem i had with SH3 was when the sound was turned up high on speakers....the microphone wasnt able to pickup my voice commands too well.

does everyone play sound thru headphones when using voice commands ? or keep speaker volume to low level ? or are there recommended settings to help it ignore the game noise ? or should i just get a better headset ?

currently using creative hs600

Ideally, the only sound the microphone receives are your voice commands. I always use a headset and switch off the loudspeakers when I play. If your room is quiet, you don't have to spend a lot on a state-of-the-art gaming headset.

By the way, I once discussed this subject in my gaming group and someone said: "All voice command programs are crap! I tested them all and they don't work. Stop wasting your time with this nonsense!". The harshness of this verdict surprised me until I found out that he used a 7.1 speaker setup and a desktop microphone which was placed on a shelf somewhere.
