Only suicide missions?

Recommended Posts

Well war is nasty, but why does every mission have to be AI thinking of new exiting ways to kill me. I mean, that bomb placed by the sniper(last guy alive) in the MOAP training was just great! Also when i am covered from 3 different sides how does the AI find a way to kill me? Those APC-s are a real bitch. Medicine? Also in the night mission(getting to the USMC), how am i supposed to seek out AT soldiers or outposts? By guessing where i would place them? By sweeping the area, what takes hours? Is there a lesson in every mission to be afraid and wheep like a baby when war is mentioned? Or do you just have to play the game without engaging? In suicide mode?

Is there a book somewhere about military tactics i can use to beat that damn AI?(by the way, i play in regular mode, not hardened or anything) or is the point to get as many guys as possible into the army? because in arma2 it is simply not possible to make it in one piece.

And what use is the team, if i can`t order them to move to specific locations... :) and they never hit their target(armor). That is so frustrating when Robo blows you all up to bits and pieces.

Also, after not killing Priest Fyodor, it just goes: Alliance broken down, at the start of the mission in the middle of the damned CDF base. Your guys just open up:) I mean, how crazy is that. There is no way in real life you would survive that.

Oh man, if i just had 3 guys that can do the job...

One more thing - in a really bad real life story Chernarus is my country. Same goes to OpFlashpoint.

Don't get disheartened by the A.I., it's performance can be anything from tumbleweed/ incomprehensible, to superhuman. In addition to Dslyecxi's guide, also check out Ranger Handbook

Yea you definitely need to learn abit more about the game. Check out those guides.

For one thing you -can- order your units to specific locations. Select them and where you want to move, or click click the location on the map.

I just want to get some :) Preffably with help from my team.

the game crashes when i order my men to move with selecting the unit and pressing 1 and clicking on the targetlocation - and windows extra errors. Only way to move them is in formation and then on the location tell them to stop, very nasty indeed.

But what comes to tactics - tnx dude for the Ranger Handbook reference - still i quess only way to enjoy this game is in coop. There really are many problems with this game, less than with the last one (OPFlash), but nevertheless, best war simulator so far.

Hmm strange error. Post in the Troubleshooting section maybe, that is a wierd error. I would have trouble without being able to move them manually at times.

That happened to me using the english mod. If you use it, disable it in the shortcut (omit the modfolder) and try ordering your troops again. Good luck.

that homicidal psyhcobitch of an AI. It just generates soldiers to an area already cleared. Right behind you. And not only one side but both. That is so down.

for real. In the Dogs Of War episode, after you have taken the Chedaki base near Msta and setting up satchel charges there. It just generates men near the commandcenter.
