Will there ever be OpenGL suport of OFP?

I mean D3D looks pretty crapy on my radeon, I get freezes and the shadows are all messed up. You think you Dev guys could add in OpenGL please?

The T&L option lets the graphics card handle the Transformations & Lighting, which offloads the CPU. It also isn't supported by all graphics cards.

If you have a fast CPU, you may not see a difference when selecting Hardware T&L, or may even notice a slowdown in performance.

I seem to recall reading a comment from one of the OFP developers that no OpenGL support is planned.

:-(

OpenGL :-(

I have a Radeon 32DDR and the shadows look like crap. also the darn game freeze on a regular basis.

So you don't ask me my specs are:

900Mhz T-bird

512 PC-133 Ram

30Gb HD

SB Live! Value

Radeon 32MB DDR

I have new drivers for Radeon.

Well I guess I should just go ahead and ask, is it just ME or does some( well a lot) of the graphics look not that great? Mainly I can say the shadows it's not like they look just bad it's the fact that I can't see gun shadows and I see the joints in the shadows where the arms legs ect. connect.

Enlightin me if you will WHY they wont add OpenGL? Given the issues and how D3D does this game absolutly NO justice, I'd almost be willing to pay for that... of corse depends on the price.

Ok the new drivers I got for my Radeon(not ATI's) or it could be the 1.26 beta made the shadows and everything smooth. So that is all fixed. Althought OpenGL still runs better :-)

I only get proper shadows if I run with 32-bit colour. If you're running with 16-bit colour, that may explain why the shadows look a bit naff.

Try disabling W-buffer support in your Radeon's 3D3 settings.  This helped the completely cleared up my "scrambled shadows" problem on my Radeon system.

um OGL is a dead dog

DirectX runs faster

as for crappy shadows, play with your 8 bit stencil in you display Dir3D properties and reboot
