Third person as Default possible?

I was wondering if there was a way to make third person view the default when i start up the game ?

I love all the views in the game, but i used to play socom and im so used to tpv, i like to be able to see more around me, and when i switch soldiers i always have to press the enter key again to switch from fpv to tpv, its not that big of a deal, but i was wondering if there was something i could change maybe in my profile, or even a mod that could do this?

Interesting question, there are some other binds and features that would be neet if there a way to reverse the default. Someone 'in the know' will post, or give the Armaholic forums -- those guys know ArmA II system internals...

so basicly you want a workaround to servers that force first person view to gain an advantage? :p

I like 3rd person view in ground vehicles myself, driving tanks in 1st person is like being a postbox on rollerskates!

I think the views need to be improved drasticly,

I like my 3rd person view but if it's a server forcing 1st person it should be adhered to

Did i say i was even playing online? i dont even play MP right now since im enjoying the mods and playing with the editor.

I've a feeling this is core game stuff and not something you could tweek. But there's a lot of pbos in there and it might very well be in one of them.

Of course, you'd end up with a hacked client and you'd be pretty much off-limits to MP.

Joking or not something that toggles a default bind, that's done as a mod in a mod folder is not going to be a cheat, or even register on servers as such. How to do it is another matter...

now that the tools are out, could this be done ? , i do not have any modding skills but if someone maybe points me in the right direction of how i could do this, what files to take a look at etc.. I will release it to the community if i am able to make it work, basically all i want to do is change it so when the game starts up, my soldier is in third person, and then if i want first person i just hit enter like usual, seems pretty straight forward right?
