Did everything without problems, come back and turns out he wasnt sitting there cos he is lying face down and kinda dead... >.<... gennosuke 10 Posted July 24, 2009 Yes he was at the main camp when i did this mission. It was a bit hard to find him as I'd called in an artillery strike and the bodies were scattered around. Look for an NPC wearing a balaclava, select one of you squad members (F2-F4), press 6, and there should be an option to search the body Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
cashxx 10 Posted July 25, 2009 Well one of the odd things is I thought I automatically radioed back to Shaftoe and said that he wasn't at the main base. But I never seen any CHat logs of that. Everything got screwy.....I just restarted the mission and again I found the main base at another location but everything happened at once, I got called to a downed plain or something and ran into the arms guy on the road and then that redirected me to the safe house instead of the main base with the other team and things are all messed up again. Now I have two armors at the main base and can't find a launcher.....hopefully by the time I find a launcher and get rid fo the armors I can find the leader. Is he at the main enemy base? Yeah, I'm afraid you'll jut have to look around for him. An easy way of doing this is selecting one of your units, pressing 6, then looking for "Search body". You man should run over to the Insurgent Leader's body. I got super epicly lucky when I found him. He was the only guy rolling around on the ground, moaning in pain. I think it is another nasty bug that incorrectly calculated his position where intersected with the table in front of him, because I found that every time he died, that table "disappeared". I found that the artillery script disappeared after I found the main base (Cooper radioed HQ). This made me mad because with artillery support, destroying the base should be much easier! This isn't correct. I pick her up first up and I still have the use of the support. I've found that you once you use either the helicopter or the artillery the other one becomes unavailable. cashxx 10 Posted July 28, 2009 Yea I found Lagushina in her town and moved to where the helicopter comes in and it flew right over us and went towards her town and got shot down the first time. I have since had to do it 2 more times and it worked fine. I have also lost the artillery after finding the main base. I had to find a rocket launcher off an enemy and carefully take out the 2 armor vehicles. I couldn't find the Leader once again and luckily having one of your guys search the body worked. I'm finally past it now.....I'm onto the next board and it looks like its going to be bi*@! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

CrazyAviator 10 Posted August 4, 2009 I too lost the option for artillery after using Starforce 21. Then I lost control over that as well, but if you shoot it, dumbass jumps out and you can fly Starforce 21 NOW :D I have done the tasks in this order 1: Find the girl, escort 2: Find the guys house, watch it blow up, kill the bomber 3: Find the stash in Gorka, report it 4: Look for sentry bases, found 2 5: Found main base, attacked it with boomerang, finally took out the T-72 and killed the leader 6: Looked for more sentry bases, found 1 7: Now I'm looking for the stupid arms dealer and have begun combing the roads God that main base was a BIYATCH without arty. On my 1st run through, trying to capture that guy, when the bomb blew up I was entering town... and as such didn't see anyone running... and obviously couldn't find the bomber... Oh yeah that is so gay. Whats even worse is on my game, when the bomb went off all the villagers started running around. I had no idea which one to chase. LukeB 10 Posted August 5, 2009 Man this game is interesting. The options seem to be endless. I must be VERY lucky because everything seemed to have worked for me. Once I found the main enemy base, I called in an artillery strike that took out most of the bad guys including the medical tent. However, before I could take out the APC I had to contend with a sniper in the flatterened medical tent :o) . I eventually saw his head popping up and took him out and he ended up being the guy I was after. I then took out the APC with a RPG from one of the dead enemy soldiers. I then got the call to return to FOB and shaftoe said that we were leaving and we had to lend support until they left. We got attacked but got away in the truck and that was it. Now playing Badlands. CrazyAviator 10 Posted August 6, 2009 I encountered the dead Shaftoe tonight for the first time, after finally killing the last scout post too! I was forced to reload from my previous save (about 10 minutes prior). Thank god Im OCD about saving because Shaftoe being dead totally fucks the mission objective and it wont ever complete.
