bhaz 0 Posted July 24, 2009 Nice, I'm still not sure what causes it, went through a couple of old squad.xml's I had that were having this problem and I just couldn't make it happen. Just wondering, can you see anyone else's logos? I remember not being able to see any when I had the problem.

An Fiach 10 Posted July 27, 2009 vista 32 ---------- Post added at 06:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:08 PM ---------- You know, I'm wondering if it is just an issue with where we are hosting the files, obviously the game can read it so it is either something to do with how it is hosted or how it is downloaded. Could be, I went through 3 or 4 hosts before mine started working. If you want you can PM me the files and try 'em out on mine? (temporary of course)

jurgass 10 Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) Hi, I need some help with my squad logo. It's shown accurately on the player info, but on vehicles or infantry u can only see it from certain angles, otherwise u only see a borderline where the logo should be.. this is the .gif i created this .paa from http://freenet-homepage.de/siebte/siebte.paa Edited August 7, 2009 by jurgass

bhaz 0 Posted August 8, 2009 I've managed to replicate one of the ways to break squad logos. It seems that any use of the '-profiles' tag has a chance to mess with your client's downloaded .paa files. Almost seems as though it's not looking in the correct position, because all downloaded logos correctly end up at the -profiles\squads folder.

RomanLord 10 Posted August 14, 2009 Same problem for me Tryied different hostings Tryied different formats. With JPG or PAA manually copied to squad folder, I see the logo but others player dont see it. With "normal" PAA I receive the message "could not load......" and any other player that clicks on my name, receive the same error. The strange thing is that if the PAA file is 4kb, I see in the squad folder that ArmaII download always just 2kb.... Anyone knows a solution for this? RomanLord 10 Posted August 19, 2009 It works perfectly with http://sh2.armatechsquad.com/ The problem that I want to know WHY! :D Why your "hosting" is different from my? Hosting the XML and the .PAA image on my website, don't load the picture...:j:
TomNedry 0 Posted August 20, 2009 @ ZA Sgt.Hammer Do not use any characters beside A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and space in the nick-attribute inside the squad-element (see Wiki page, Section 3, lit. 2 ). This may lead to strange behaviour e.g. the information from your member-block is displayed but the information from the squad-block is not. @RomanLord A possible reason might be that your webhoster only allows "known" MIME types, such html, zip, etc. and paa just isn't on that list... As long as TexView can show it, the paa itself is correct...
-Total- 0 Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) Okay, I have tried everything I can. Photoshop w/ current paa plug. GIMP to Texview Nothing is getting the logo to show up ingame. The rest of the info does, but not the logo. I can see other clan's logo's, so I know it's not my firewall. Using a png, I can view the squad.xml pasge in my web browser. I just can't get the paa to function correctly lol! Can some good-hearted soul take the following file and convert it to a 256x256 paa file for me? http://ripteam.org/misc/crest2.png Dunno what I doing wrong, but I have a directory full of failed attempts LOL! Thanks in advance! Edited September 14, 2009 by -Total-
