Redfield-77 10 Posted July 20, 2009 I cant patch my version 1.02.58064 to the latest build can it be done? I always get the message that 1.02 is already installed.
Baron von Beer 0 Posted July 20, 2009 That shows, but it should patch regardless. Go into your game's root directory, and check the version of your EXE just to be certain ;)
Redfield-77 10 Posted July 20, 2009 Thanks Baron, you are right. I am playing the newest build but apparently it DOES NOT fix NAT MP issues as it states. I can play internet games all day and my bud can too but soon as we try to host a server the other cannot join it. I made another post about that but w/e who cares. Bulldogs 10 Posted July 21, 2009 Yeah, I don't think it's too stable right now, apart from running a dedicated server, but that requiring an extra PC, or a lot of configuration.

My executable shows the right build but my main menu in game still shows the old build. ---------- Post added at 12:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:04 AM ---------- Yeah, I don't think it's too stable right now, apart from running a dedicated server, but that requiring an extra PC, or a lot of configuration. Bulldogs 10 Posted July 21, 2009 I think you can download the dedicated server software and run it alone, but haven't tried myself so not sure
Redfield-77 10 Posted July 21, 2009 Well crap, Bulldogs. I was going to try and run a dedicated but apparently you need windows XP to run dedicated. I upgraded my PC's to Vista over a year ago.

I know this is going a little off topic, but... You don't need to buy another copy of the game (Just copy your whole Arma2 folder over to other cpu and use server.exe), you don't have to have XP installed either. It runs on Vista and Windows 7 too.

BI says it must be windows XP here is the link. http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Dedicated_Server
mosh 0 Posted July 21, 2009 Are you sure? Yes, my mission testing server I host from home is running Windows 7, the server I rent is running Windows Server 2003 or 2008. The time it took you to reply, you could have just copy and pasted like I said and seen for yourself... :D
