Go back and look at the mods and addons for Armed Assault. Be patient.

igeighty 2 Posted July 18, 2009 (edited) hi cadmium. VBS2 PE does not include any of the terrains you have linked to.. however with a bit of work most arma1 terrains will run well in the sim. Edited July 18, 2009 by your_mum

I stopped. I looked. It didn't help... the Campaign was still broken and I still feel ripped off. Just 'cos a.n.other product gets a certain set of features doesn't make the abysmal state of ARMA2's co-op campaign (a feature listed on the box) any less relevant. I've never seen such fanboi'ism as there is on these forums!

Try and be more constructive, polite and positive.
Thirdup 0 Posted July 18, 2009 (edited) And I"m almost tempted to pop for it to get all those different real world terrain areas like in Afghanistan.. That's a steep price to pay for adding a few maps. There will be many additional maps created for ArmA2. Even maps simply ported over from ArmA1, (I tweeked the Avgani and Afgan Village maps and run them in ArmA2, somebody will port it over properly) (the map titles are reversed in the clip, but you get the idea) That's one of the things that makes ArmA brilliant. For under $50 you get pretty much unlimited expansion for free.... Edited July 18, 2009 by Thirdup

Thirdup 0 Posted July 18, 2009 It's not been properly ported over to ArmA2 yet. I just used the latest ArmA1 version and added some files to get it to work. I don't think I'd suggest messing with it just yet unless you're familiar/comfortable with chasing a bunch of files and figuring out where to place them. The map can be found on Armaholic.com (under the ArmA islands). You might search the forums here for some tips on getting it to work (there are several threads on the topic). It's not the simplest of maps to set up (the pbo's are all scattered into individual folders and will need to be moved around).
